The hotel has a central location to a restaurant at the wharf. The room is reasonably priced. It has marvellous and lovely breakfasts and best staff upon arrival and at check-out.

Beautiful building and rooms with a fireplace. Plenty of food at breakfast, such as slices of fresh bread and bacon. Location - favourable short walk to local area restaurants as well as Cannery Row.
Beds were uncomfortable.

The spacious room featured a cozy fireplace. Its proximity to Fisherman's Wharf and Cannery Row offered easy access to local attractions without needing to jump in the car.
Parking fees put a dent in the budget. The area felt a bit noisy at times, especially with street sounds seeping through thin walls.

The hotel offers lovely and marvellous breakfast with cereal and potatoes. It is conveniently located in Downtown Monterey district close enough to the Wharf, downtown, fisherman's wharf, municipal wharf and beach and all the shops and restaurants.

The room was very cozy, loved the fireplace!
When I booked this room, I asked for a quiet room. The staff told me that when they received the fax from Booked.net there were no comments or special requests. We had a very noisey neighbor upstairs. Hotel did waive the parking fees. Very nice of them to do that.

Location
This was once a lovely hotel. It is really tired and looks like it is being updated a little at a time with no plan and on the "cheap". The outdoor tile and tile in the public areas was very dirty. The internet didn't work in my room so after 2.5 hrs of struggling with it they finally changed my room. Very disappointed in the interior. The staff did the best they could.

Oh, the French baguettes at nearby Crepes of Brittany were a total game-changer! Plus, being super close to picturesque Fisherman's Wharf really adds to the charm. Don't get me started on the spacious rooms with those cozy gas fireplaces to keep you toasty at night!
I seemed like I was on a live nature documentary listening to footsteps at all hours. We had a bathtub that had a stray hair left from its last guest-yikes! Luckily, it didn't derail the whole vibe too much.

The location is very good...access to the pier, aquarium, town.
Hotel seems to be in the flight path of the airport...very noisy. I, also, know that the street is cleaned at 2:34 AM and 4:55 AM. The first day there were no wash cloths, shower had sand in it. The WIFI should be "free" given the cost of the room

We had enough space to relax. Excellent views of monterey.
Requested a room with two beds. Was given a room with a king. The walkway covers leaked rain. The wi-fi.was not free.
